Deckin' the Halls for our First Christmas in our new Home!
So .... I won't lie. I've had my Christmas tree up for weeks.
I know, I know .... I'm one of THOSE people (insert all the rolling eye emojis).
I couldn't help it, I just love love love Christmas! I love the lights, I love how festive everything is this time of year, I love the energy of the season it's just so infectious, you just can't help but be merry and bright! And I'll tell you, one of the most exciting things for me about building our new home in Jordan Ranch was picturing our stockings on the mantle, where we'd put our Christmas Tree and how much we'd love having people over during the season so, safe to say, I've been gearing up for a good while now!
And I know I've got a good ways to go, but I thought it might be fun to show some fun decorating ideas and the progress I've made so far. I'm also tinkering with the idea of doing another big tree (all the Christmas trees, right?) so maybe someone can either talk me out of it or enable me .... your choice! I'm trying not to go Christmas crazy but I almost can't help it! Y'all better just be happy I'm almost giving up on re-doing my little girls playroom for Christmas, I was right on the edge but I'm trying to reign myself in. But then again -- there's still time, you never know what I'm up to!
Again, what I have is just a start --- something to get me in the Christmas spirit but come on, do y'all agree? I really think there's not much better than getting home after a long day and seeing everything all decked out for the holidays or watching my one year old say "WOWWWW" every night when we turn on the Christmas tree. That's what it's all about, after all ... making memories!
I'm going to keep at it though, I still have more ideas and more I want to do (stay turned for decision on giant tree #2, that's dependent on if I can talk husband into it) but here's to hoping this post gives you a little boost in decorating too. Feel free to comment with your pictures of your tree or decorations around the house, always looking for inspiration and an excuse to go to Hobby Lobby. Make you a hot chocolate, turn on the Hallmark movies and get to decorating!
